ETC NAMES ADDITIONAL
DIRECTOR,
HONORS EMPLOYEES AT ANNUAL MEETING

ETC announced its election of
Johnny R.W. Johns to the board of directors following the company’s annual
meeting of shareholders held May 5, 2000.
Johns currently serves as BellSouth
strategic accounts manager for GTE Supply and is responsible for product
standardization and measurement of economies. Previously, he managed ETC’s
sales team as vice president of sales from 1989 to 1997. Johns also served
as director, vice president-chief financial officer of the Audichron
Company, a subsidiary acquired by ETC in 1989. His educational background
includes a bachelor’s of science in industrial management as well as a
master’s in professional accountancy. Johns brings over 25 years of
experience in telecommunications, business development and financial
expertise to the Board.

Johns joins the company of ETC’s current
board of directors headed by Chairman George W. Danner. Other members
include: Dean Danner, president and chief executive officer, ETC; Peter J.
Lettenberger, partner, Quarles & Brady; A. William Huelsman, investor;
Wisconsin State Senator Joanne B. Huelsman; Richard A. Gabriel,
consultant; Hazel Danner, corporate secretary and director of human
resources, ETC; and Boni Danner, vice president, engineering, ETC.
During the annual meeting of shareholders,
several directors were acknowledged for their dedication and support of
ETC since the company’s incorporation twenty years ago. Recipients
included George W. Danner, Dean Danner, Boni Danner, Hazel Danner, A.
William Huelsman, and Joanne B. Huelsman. Additionally, Peter J.
Lettenberger was recognized for serving fifteen years on the board.
Employees honored for fifteen years of
service included Robert Spiering, vice president of technical services and
Jeffrey Nigl, vice president, treasurer, and chief financial officer. The
1999 Employee of the Year distinction was awarded to Tony Radovan,
district sales manager, for his outstanding achievements in salesmanship
and customer relations.
